This place was phenomenal. Went there in end of June 2021. It appears most of the low reviews are old ones. So it looks like maybe they got rid of the bad employees. The gentleman that cooked our food was awesome so friendly and smiled. The food was SOOOOO GOOD!
The only Asian food at Navy Pier even if workers are not Asians. They were all nice and did correct order. Tastes good with great condiments.
Outstanding restaurant. People who run this place are kind and cool and make some of the best chicken teriyaki. Not only that, but when I’m done eating I felt good and had a nap. But I also feel totally at peace, like time is an ocean that suddenly stops and becomes a beautiful, cerulean mirror of the sky, and I’m dancing on that mirror with orange chicken in my hands. The vodka lemonade was banging. The service was pretty good, the line was slow but once you get to the top it’s fast. It was a nice lunch at the pier.
We had such a great experience at Big Bowl Chinese Express in Navy Pier! We arrived a little early and didn’t realize they weren’t officially open yet, but the staff was super nice and took our order so it would be ready when they opened. We got the chicken teriyaki fried rice, and it was amazing—Panda Express who? Honestly, it could compete with a lot of popular spots. The prices were great, and the serving sizes were plentiful. Definitely my favorite part of Navy Pier!
Wow, shocked by the bad reviews. I'm naturally a fan of PANDA so decided to give this place a try. Wow, had the sesame chicken and they blew my expectations away. So flavorful, hot and fresh, generous portions. Did I just get lucky? Or is this place always this great. My bf is a chef and got a slice next door, he tried and loved my food way more.
We went to Big Bowl on a pleasant Tuesday evening and were given a table on the patio. The place had a great vibe and our server was friendly. We ordered 2 stir fry bowls; one with shrimp, rice and yellow curry, and the other with chicken, noodles and panang curry. We also ordered pot stickers, an iced tea and a fresh pomegranate ginger ale. I highly recommend the ribs pot stickers and the shrimp with yellow curry. The other dishes were really good too. The iced tea was good, and so was the pomegranate ginger ale (however, I'd prefer a regular ginger ale). Overall, nothing bad to say about this place, the food, service, or atmosphere.
